Who are the Guardians?

• Dedicated Stewards: Guardians are highly invested in MoonFall's future, offering invaluable insights and proposing innovative ideas within the DAO.

• Experienced Advisors: They leverage their knowledge to advise on critical decisions, ensuring MoonFall's enduring growth and prosperity.

• No Voting Rights: While Guardians play a crucial role, they don't hold voting rights within the DAO. Their focus lies in providing expert guidance.

The Selection Process: Unveiling the Guardians

• Selection Criteria: The comprehensive selection process for the initial nine Guardians is still under development. We plan to involve the community in identifying the most suitable candidates before the game launches.

• Dev Team Representation: Three seats on the Guardian board will be permanently reserved for the Dev team, ensuring continued involvement and transparency. Each appointment will be announced and voted on by the DAO before the term begins.

• In-game Archons: Leaders of active guilds controlling planetary systems will initially have three seats on the board, with the potential for expansion over time. Specific eligibility requirements are yet to be finalized.

• MFL Holders: Holders of the $MFL token will also have three initial seats, with the possibility of increased representation in the future. Eligibility criteria are still being determined.

• MFL Pledge: To prevent potential misconduct, Guardians will be required to pledge a significant amount of $MFL to the project's treasury. This serves as a form of security deposit.

Who is a DAO Member?

• veMFL Holders: Anyone holding at least one veMFL token becomes a DAO member and gains voting rights within the organization.

What is veMFL?

• Voting Power: veMFL represents your voting power within the DAO. The more $MFL you stake and the longer the lock-up period, the more veMFL you receive and the greater your voting influence.

veMFL Formula:

veMFL = f(MFL amount, Lock Period) = δ * MFL amount / MAX_TIME * Lock Period

Staking for a Voice:

• Staking Mechanics: Stake your $MFL tokens to acquire veMFL and gain voting rights within the DAO. One veMFL equals one vote.

• Non-tradable Influence: veMFL cannot be traded; it solely represents your voting power.

• Preventing Centralization: Measures are in place to prevent a small group of individuals from accumulating excessive voting power.

• NFT Staking for Players: We're exploring the possibility of allowing players to stake NFTs and earn veMFL, granting them DAO voting rights. This acknowledges the value of players who invest time and effort into the game even if they don't hold $MFL tokens.
